In a critical clash of West play-in contenders, Dallas big man Anthony Davis and L.A. guard Ben Simmons landed on the injury report.

Just two days ago, Anthony Davis had his best outing with the Dallas Mavericks, hitting the game-winner in a 120-118 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Davis lit up the stat sheet in the win, dropping 34 points on 14/23 shooting along with 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 blocks, and a steal in 30 minutes.

The Mavericks were without their starting power forward and center because Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II were unavailable because of injury management. Clippers center Ivica Zubac took advantage of a thin Mavericks frontcourt and recorded a double-double before halftime, finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
