Pittsburgh Pirates veteran outfielder Andrew McCutchen was nearly hit in the head with a pitch during Wednesday night's game against the Washington Nationals, leading to the benches clearing during the game.

MLB announced that Nationals' reliever Jorge López will be suspended for three games after throwing at Andrew McCutchen's head, in a series that's already seen multiple hit batsmen and a trip to the hospital for one of them.
