Sunday is our next Weather Alert Day, as a potent storm system will bring scattered heavy to possibly severe storms through central Florida.

A First Alert Weather Day is in effect today for our potential to see strong to severe thunderstorms. That potential will increase around 5pm in southern Siouxland as a line of storms approaches from the south. The line could contain damaging wind gusts and hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

A dynamic weather system sliding across the Central Plains Friday-into-Saturday will bring the risk of severe thunderstorms...high winds...rain-changing-to-snow...high fire danger and even some blowing dust at times.
