A Maine woman who went missing after going paddleboarding on July 2 was murdered, police said. Sunshine Stewart, 48, was reported missing after going paddleboarding on Crawford Pond in Union, which is about 25 miles east of Augusta, on July 2, Maine State Police said. Officials found her dead the following day.

She could walk into a room and have 20 friends right away," a close friend said of Sunshine Stewart. "That’s the kind of person she was."
Police in Maine are investigating the death of a paddleboarder near a campground in rural Maine as a homicide and asking the public for help finding the killer.
Richmond RCMP said officers were called to a "serious incident" at a home on Capstan Way near Sexsmith Road around 10:40 a.m. on Friday.
