Hi, I thought I read somewhere that near Kings Park was a smaller park with a fantastic bamboo alley. Am i right in thinking it was in Kings Park, Perth?

Japan is the place to see bamboo. Not sure the climate is quite right in Perth. If a park as you describe does exist, it is very well hidden and unsigned.
I think there is plenty to see all year round. It is not just plants that is the highlight, the views over the city/ river are just spectacular. Nice little cafe to have coffee or lunch is good …

You can hire a bike and ride through it, take a walk through it or ride on the red bus to catch the scenery .
Made a mistake on my review for this place. I said that we had climbed the DNA Tower. In fact this tower is in Yancheng National Park and not in Kings Park. Sorry.

Sorry again; I was right in the first place, DNA Tower is in Kings Park.
