Fantastic....and FREE!!! Dogs allowed. Swim up to the waterfall. Walk and explore the shallow river. Our group took a bazillion photos. What a beautiful and special place!Brenda H的完整评论

I am an amateur photographer and was thinking about hiking the trail to take pictures of the falls. I see that they have added fencing to the trail. And have heard that you can no longer get close to the falls. Are the fall viewable from the trail now? It it worth going for pictures?

No, the area is not what it used to be. Lately there has been a lot of litter. Crowds and vandalism have pretty much ruined the area. Try Mirror Lake. It's less crowded.
Is this a good place to visit in Winter near Thanksgiving?

If you stay on the flat portion of the trail. You could visit the location whenever. But as others said if there is any moisture, snow, ice I wouldn't climb the hill.

Hi Don, I wouldn't try it personally, I don't think it's deep enough. It's important to remember the Pewit's nest is like a short, narrow canyon. In several areas near the edge of the walls it's angled downward slightly, meaning it's dangerous to even get near the edge due to risk of slipping and falling. You will never see me jumping into the water from either wall at the nest.
