Hi my ancestor appears on a Register of Receiving and Wayside Hospital or General Hospital #9. Disposition: Winder 6 Aug 1864. Is there anything left to see or would anyone know where exactly this was or even if there is more information on him anywhere? We plan to visit in Oct. His name was Evander J Dye. I had a stone made for him and placed in Hollywood Cemetery. He is listed as EJ Dye at the cemetery.

Maybe someone at the Virginia Historical Society on the Boulevard in the Museum District can answer your question. Or try the Library of Virginia on West Broad, which is half the distance by car from Chimborazo to the Historical Society at the Battle Abby.
