Hi I’m confused, hopefully someone can clarify. I went last year for a visit to the lighthouse. I paid the parking fee, and toured the grounds. However, when I went to go down the stairs to the beach I was told by a volunteer that visitors aren’t allowed on the beach cause it’s private property. Also the website for the lighthouse says you pay a fee to tour the grounds, and that does not include access to the beach area. So can I visit, and go down the steps to the beach; or is it only on certain days & times that beach access is allowed?
